Information you give us

When you use our contact form, your email app opens with your message filled in. Nothing is stored on this website — we only receive what you choose to send by email or phone. We use it to reply to you and provide our services, and we never sell it.

Free toolkit email signup

When you sign up for our free Bookkeeping & Payroll Starter Kit, we collect your email address and, if you choose to give them, your first name, business type, and main interest. We use this to email you the toolkit. If you tick the box to receive tips, we'll also send occasional bookkeeping and payroll emails.

Our email list is managed by MailerLite, which stores this information for us. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can ask us to delete your information at any time by emailing contact@steadybooks.org. We never sell your information.

Booking a meeting

When you book a meeting at book.steadybooks.org, our scheduling provider Cal.com collects your name, email, the time you choose, how you'd like to meet, and any answers you give to the booking questions. We use this only to schedule and hold the meeting, and to send your confirmation and reminders. We never ask for passwords, bank logins, or Social Security numbers when you book.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors use our website — for example, which pages are visited and how many people sign up for the toolkit. Google Analytics uses cookies and collects information such as pages viewed and general location. We don't send your name or email address to Google Analytics. You can opt out with the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

Calculators and downloads

Our business calculators run entirely in your browser. The numbers you type are not sent to us or stored. Downloading a file from our Resources page requires no sign-up.

Advertising and cookies

We use Google AdSense to show ads on this website. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this website and other websites.

Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visits to this and other sites on the internet.
